4,000+ Simonton StormBreaker Plus Windows in Ocean Keyes Community

The 50-acre planned community of Ocean Keyes villas and townhomes in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina was built to last. The 700 residences feature carefree brick and vinyl exteriors combined with impact-resistant Simonton StormBreaker Plus windows.

"We built Ocean Keyes to withstand even the toughest storms," says Marc Hyman, co-owner and builder of Keye Communities, LLC. "Having Simonton StormBreaker Plus windows as part of our product mix means we can all sleep easier ... even when hurricane-force winds rage outside."

When constructed in 2007, the Ocean Keyes development featured more than 4,000 Simonton StormBreaker Plus Double Hung new construction vinyl windows. Made of double-strength tempered and laminated glass with a PVB interlayer, the energy-efficient windows are tested to withstand winds up to 146 mph.

"We selected the impact-resistant Simonton StormBreaker Plus windows because we wanted the ultimate in hurricane protection --- and we also wanted low maintenance for Ocean Keyes," says Russell Baltzer, co-owner and architect of Keye Communities, LLC. "The durability of the vinyl frames combined with the impact-resistance of the glass makes this the ideal product for our coastal community."
