Builder Achieves Green Building Codes with Simonton Windows

Although Hardwick G.C. stands for Hardwick General Contracting, the G.C. could just as easily stand for Hardwick Green Contracting. Hardwick, who has seen his business double during the past several years, has used Simonton windows and patio doors on several projects to help achieve his green building goals.

An active member in the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) and the Home Builders Association of Metro Orlando, Hardwick seeks out top-quality, energy efficient products for his new construction and remodeling projects.

“Energy efficiency and quality performance are the keys to a sustainable home,” says Hardwick, president and owner of Hardwick G.C.  “For our window selections, we’re finding both these characteristics in the Simonton windows we install.

“Homeowners look to their architects, builders and remodelers for guidance when selecting energy efficient products for their homes,” says Hardwick. “I take that responsibility seriously and invest a significant amount of my time researching, reviewing and evaluating different building products.

“I’ve used Simonton windows and doors for different projects since I started my business in 2004. Having these energy-efficient products in our tool box really helps sell the job to homeowners. And, the selection is sealed when they learn that Simonton windows and patio doors received the highest ranking in J.D. Power and Associates studies from builders and remodelers, along with consumers nationwide. That’s a confidence-booster that can’t be beat.”
