Cape Cod Transformation

When newlyweds Rob and Holly Fanjoy purchased their 1955 Cape Cod home, they knew the 1,100-square-foot house needed extensive work. One of their first challenges was to replace the 50+ year old drafty original wood windows.

Fanjoy and a team of friends completed the house renovations themselves, installing Simonton vinyl windows and a patio door along the way. While replacing the windows, Fanjoy took the opportunity to add a Simonton Bay new construction window to the front of the home and a Garden window in the kitchen.

"We've got a small house and adding more space with these vinyl windows makes a huge difference in our living environment," says Fanjoy. "The fact that these products meet ENERGY STAR guidelines means we'll be more comfortable living here and our energy bills are now easier on the wallet."

After the home was completely renovated and a deck added to the rear of the house, Fanjoy and his wife Holly are enjoying the changes. "We're spoiled by all the new features," says Fanjoy. "The best investment we made was in our Simonton windows. Our energy bills have dropped while the comfort level in the home has soared!"
