Kendal on Hudson's continuing care retirement community offers residents easy living and breathtaking views from every part of the facility. With almost 5,000 Simonton windows to capture the scenery of the Hudson River Valley from every angle, the window selection was an important decision during the construction process.
"This complex receives direct exposure from the sun on all sides throughout the year," says Robert Nalaboff, project manager for Andron Construction Corporation, the general contractor for the project. "During the winter, harsh winds and frigid weather can infiltrate this part of the country. With so many openings it was important to install windows that are both energy efficient and easy to maintain.
Simonton ProFinish Casement and No-Hinge Casement windows were installed by Nalaboff's team during construction of the 222-unit complex. Almost a thousand mulled window units bring light into every room of the Kendal on Hudson complex.
"The double glazed Simonton windows with Argon gas fill and sturdy vinyl frames are the perfect complement to this low maintenance community," says Nalaboff.
