A report in the June/July 2013 issue of Window and Door magazine declares that a rebound in new home construction has helped residential window and door sales get back on the road to recovery. (Click HERE for full story).
According to the report from AAMA and WDMA as covered in the magazine, shipments of prime windows are expected to grow continuously through 2015, with vinyl new home construction windows, like the Simonton ProFinish product line, leading the way.
In the remodeling/replacement arena vinyl also leads with steady growth of sales projected through 2015. Overall numbers for residential window sales in the study show that in 2013, 31.5 million units of window sales will be attributed to vinyl windows ... followed by 7.3 million units of wood windows, 3.8 million units of aluminum windows and 1.5 million units of fiberglass vinyl windows.
